Courses Overview
Teems Transmission Lines Academy has worked with the State Project Coordination Unit (SPCU) Under department of Technical education to develop a programme for Transmission Line Engineers. This is the first of its kind program in Industry Institute participation for skill development in Transmission Line Construction Industry. Followed by the launch of the programme for engineers, the Academy has plans to start different skill development and skill enhancement programmes for Transmission line construction industry.
Courses Offered
The following training courses are offered:
Surveyor - Transmission Line
 |
The students are exposed to different activities involved in the survey of transmission line construction. The course includes aspects of preliminary survey, route map preparation, detailed survey and check survey. The course also provides hands on experience
with ‘Total Station’ equipment to the trainees.

Linesman - Tower Foundation
 |
The course is designed to provide the basics and various aspects of the transmission line tower foundation works like pit marking, excavation, stub setting, concreting etc. The students are exposed to practical training at site. |
Linesman - Tower Erection
 |
The students will learn the basics and various aspects of transmission line tower erection like material handling, reading tower drawings ,sorting different tower parts, assembling and erection etc. The practical training provides hands on experience to the students. |
Linesman - Line Stringing
 |
The students will learn about different methods of stringing, material handling, sagging, clipping, jumpering etc. The training includes demonstration of stringing work and hands on training at site. |
Program for Transmission Line Engineers
 |
The course aims to explain the basic purpose and various components of transmission line system and the basic tasks involved in the installation of a transmission line. The course covers all aspects of overhead transmission line construction like survey, foundation, tower erection, stringing works etc. |
